Message to vehicle owners

Good afternoon Resident,

We are issuing a warning to vehicle owners following a rise in incidents involving Volkswagen cars, where consoles and in-car systems are being specifically targeted.

We advise all VW owners to be extra vigilant and take the following precautions:

•              Always lock your vehicle, even when parked on your driveway or outside your home

•              Remove all valuables from display, particularly electronic devices

•              Park in well-lit or secure areas wherever possible

•              Consider using additional security measures such as a steering wheel lock or dashcam

If you notice any suspicious activity around vehicles, please report it immediately by calling 101 or 999 in an emergency.
